1. Get Your Website Up and Running

Having a good online presence is crucial if you want to be successful online, and a website plays a big role here. But a good website is not only about having a good design, and hoping that people will come and take the actions you want them to take.

At this point, you might be wondering if you should DIY or hire a web designer. So, let us make this decision easier for you! If you have time to spend learning how to design a website the DIY option might be the best. On the other hand, if you want to invest your time in something more important in your business, you should hire a web designer.

If you choose to DIY, Squarespace Templates are a great choice and after taking some time to learn how to do it you’ll have a perfectly good website to start with. But keep in mind, that if you go the DIY route you’ll most likely going to have to make changes as you’ll learn more and more about how to set up your website for success.

If you want to have a professionally designed website from the beginning hiring a professional web designer is the way to go. By hiring a web designer you will make sure your website is set up for success from day one, you don’t need to worry about it for many many years, and you’ll feel confident to share it with everyone.

2. Blogging

Doesn’t matter what kind of health and wellness business you have, having a blog is great for many different reasons! Amongst many others reasons, a blog helps establish yourself as an expert in your niche, builds trust with your audience, helps you get found online (without paid ads!), and provides incredible value to your readers.

If you want to be successful with this strategy it will take time, commitment, and a little bit of know-how to increase your chances to be found online organically, but in the long run, is totally worth it!

3. Video Content

Video content is growing like crazy these days, so this is a great way to promote and market your health and wellness business.

People really enjoy watching videos, so if you are not into blogging then video content can be a great way to interact with potential clients. Not only video content makes it more personal but also puts a face to your business which is super important for building trust.

If you have a yoga studio you can create videos about this week’s classes or tips on how to get started with yoga.

4. Podcasting

If you’re not a fan of writing and are not comfortable with video content, podcasting can be a great way of marketing your health and wellness business. Podcasting is becoming more and more popular because people can listen to this type of content while exercising, commuting, cooking, etc.

If you don’t feel like creating your own podcast get invited to someone else’s. Podcasting is a great way to build relationships with other business owners and be exposed to their audience.

Podcasting is also a great way to build trust with potential clients because you’ll be seen as an expert in your field as you’re sharing your knowledge and giving tips entirely for free.

5. Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.)

Social media carries a huge opportunity for health and wellness brands to promote their products and services. Social media channels can help you shape your audience’s perceptions, how they interact with your brand, and build loyalty.

For this strategy to work you need to find one or more channels that best match your brand type and audience, and focus all your efforts there. This means understanding exactly who your ideal client is, and in what social media channels they’re spending their time.

You can also make use of influencer marketing to give visibility to your business. This means connecting with influencers to support your brand to bring authenticity and social validation to your product or service. To make this strategy work, find the right influencers and understand what products or services you sell that their audience will love.

6. WORD-OF-MOUTH MARKETING

Word-of-mouth marketing is when a client shares about their experience of working or buying from you with their circle of influence (friends, family, followers, etc.). This can be in the form of reviews, recommendations, referrals, social media posts, blog posts, videos, etc., and believe it or not this has the potential to totally shift your business.

Generating leads from word-of-mouth marketing is a great strategy, and one of my favorites! I love this strategy so much because is one of the most authentic ways of marketing. This is so authentic because the only way to influence what people say about you is by showing them how you work and providing a great customer experience.

Word-of-mouth marketing is so powerful because people are more likely to believe in someone that already gone through the experience instead of making an online search, or clicking an ad.

7. PITCHING

Yes, pitching can sometimes be a little bit awkward but it’s in fact an effective strategy. You never know if someone is actually looking for the service you’re actually pitching and if so you’re the solution to their problem!

You have two options to target clients to pitch your services: email or phone call. Choose the option you feel more comfortable with, prepare a list of potential clients, write email templates or a phone call script, and start contacting people!

Just a side note, don’t expect to send a pitch and be immediately successful because this strategy is all about numbers, to be successful with this strategy you should contact at least 25 potential clients per week.
