  • Log into your Squarespace website

  • Go to SETTINGS > DOMAINS

To change the domain name in Squarespace you have 2 options.

GET A DOMAIN: If you choose the option “Get a domain” you’ll buy a domain from Squarespace. As long as the domain is available you can choose a customized domain for your website.

USE A DOMAIN I OWN: The second option is to use a domain you already own from a 3rd party provider and connect it to Squarespace.

CHANGING THE BUILT-IN DOMAIN NAME

The built-in domain name in Squarespace is different from your actual domain, this domain is displayed when you are designing or editing your website. If you want to change it to look more professional and make it easier to share you can do it by:

Step 1

  • Log into your Squarespace website

  • Go to SETTINGS > DOMAINS

  • Click in the BUILD-IN DOMAIN URL
